Step 1.0.1 enhances MIDI functionality, including improvements to PC and CC.

Note: MIDI settings are now global; per-project settings will be lost, and you will need to reconfigure your MIDI settings in the new menu after the update.

New Features

  • MIDI PC channel assignment and filtering
    • PC In Channel configuration added in the MIDI Menu
    • Now only the first 128 songs respond to MIDI PC changes
  • Independent CC channel assignment and filtering
    • Separate CC channel filter in the MIDI Menu
  • CC control of pattern changes
    • CC messages from 81-96 switch to the corresponding pattern at the end of the active sequence
  • MIDI and expression pedal settings are now global, not per project.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Download and extract the firmware above
2. Copy the .pstf firmware file to your Step SD card → Firmware folder
3. Recommended: backup your SD card to prevent any data loss
4. On the Step, long press Song to navigate to Main Menu → Firmware → Update Firmware → .pstf file
5. After the update, reconfigure MIDI settings.
