Changelog
1.2
Changes from Tracker+ 1.1 to 1.2
This update contains the Focus Loop feature, “looping on parts of a pattern”, and the new anniversary display theme that adds subtle improvements and contrast to align with the 10th anniversary edition design and provide a better viewing experience in certain situations. If you were using the beta version of this firmware, this final release rolled back the LFO changes made during the beta.
NEW FEATURES
NEW FEATURES
- Focus Loop: Loop a selection until stopped
- Shift + Play now loops the selected section of a pattern until playback is stopped
- If 1 bar is selected, playback now starts at the selected bar
- New 10th Anniversary UI theme
- Subtle changes to the original theme to align with the 10th anniversary Mini aesthetic and increase contrast
- Change themes in Config > Display
FIXES
- The project scale affected the preview sound in the Sample Editor
- Live preview in Rec mode was not functioning with the external clock
- Switching patterns using the Pattern and left/right arrows displayed the previous pattern number in the footer and header
- MIDI Note Velocity jumped to 100% when playing chords
- External note input did not record while the sequence was playing
- Copy and pasting blocks in Song Mode did not change the pattern length
- Monochrome UI theme fixes
- The encoder skipped values if not perfectly centered on a “click” at power-on
- Performance Synth FXs were turned off when selecting and deselecting a Track
- Rendering a selection of Synth steps did not include send effects
INSTALLATION GUIDE:
-
- Download and extract the firmware file
- Copy the .ptf firmware file to your Tracker SD card > Firmware folder
- Optional: Save your current project to avoid any potential data loss
- Navigate to Config > Firmware > Update Firmware > .ptf file
- Press Select and confirm with Yes

1.1
Changes from Tracker+ 1.0.3 to 1.1
NEW FEATURES
- Sampling over USB
FIXES
- Reverb was inactive after exiting a game
- Glitches could appear on game screens
- The Instrument MIDI Mapping list was off by three places
- Previewing the overdrive effect in the Sample Editor overwrote the first loaded Instrument
- OFF/FAD/CUT was not pasting when copying from tracks 1-8 into tracks 9-16
How to use USB Sampling:
- Connect the device to a USB host.
- In Config > USB, select audio output. This will output audio to the Tracker via USB.
- Open the Sample Recorder and Select USB to record USB audio.
UI CHANGES
- Outside of the Sample Recorder, USB overwrites the internal mix only when the Input+Output option is selected and the device is attached to a host.
- Unlike line-in playback, USB playback(Output) will not mix in the USB audio when not in the sample recorder.
- Previously, Tracker overwrote the output in every mode if some data from the connected host appeared. *Now it is dependent on the config option and USB connection detection. For example, if you have no USB connection and have USB set to input+output, you will not get output at the line out. In the past, you would hear audio playback at the line out.
1.0.3
Changes from Tracker+ 1.0.2 to 1.0.3
This Tracker+ firmware hotfix addresses two critical issues.
- FIXES
- Line-in audio crackles when playback is running
- OFF messages are not placed correctly during live recording.
1.0.2
Changes from Tracker+ 1.0.1 to 1.0.2
This Tracker+ firmware update adds Synth engine performance options and crucial bug fixes for smother synth operation.
NEW FEATURES
- Performance FXs for Synths:
- Separate FXs including Delay/Reverb sends and 6 Macros for all 3 synths
- cosmetic updates to existing Sample Instrument / MIDI perform FX
- All synth Init patch macros are now unipolar (Bipolar = Off)
FIXES
- Rendering the selection on the Pattern page resulted in a long silence at the end of the sample
- The Render Selection feature in the pattern editor has been redesigned to create a sharp cut at the start and end of the selection. This contrasts with the Export Song/Pattern function, which retains the old behavior and keeps the tails of samples and effects. If you want to include the tails when rendering, simply extend the selection accordingly
- Disappearing steps after using specific Fill Notes settings/scales, while navigating through the Pattern Editor. Additionally, in this state sometimes it wasn’t possible to manually edit pattern steps and Tracker could also freeze completely
- Pattern length FX in Perform mode did not function properly when set to a value of 128 steps.
- Render & Load samples were loaded in mono (if used immediately after rebooting the device)
- Breaking of the Preview in Sample Playback page. Caused by previewing Samples on the Pattern page, while the cursor was located on one of the MIDI #9-16 Tracks
- Previewing samples on the Pattern page, while the cursor was located on one of the MIDI tracks 9-16, caused the Preview function in the Sample Playback page to break.
- Hanging of MIDI and Synth Notes while using pads and external keyboards
- Multiple issues when Synth Macros were not reset or initialized correctly (in cases such as after loading or previewing patches, starting/stopping playback, changing Macro polarity, loading or starting a new project, etc)
- When Synth Parameters and Macros were used as pattern FX, they didn’t reset after playback was stopped. Instead, they would keep the last sequenced pattern FX values.
- Duplicating or expanding short patterns on the 9-16th MIDI tracks resulted in corrupted pattern data and freezing
1.0.1
Changes from Tracker+ Beta 1.0.0 to 1.0.1
This Tracker+ firmware update officially adds the PERC drum machine and synth mixer to Tracker+ and includes critical bug fixes.
NEW FEATURES
- PERC drum synth engine
- Added lights on the Synth Parameters page and patch editor to indicate different drum hits
- Synth Mixer on pg. 3 of the Master page with separate level control of all three synth engines
- Reverb and Delay send for the Line In channel have been moved to dedicated Master Reverb / Delay screens on pg. 1 of the Master page
- Ability to reset Macro parameters to default values (using Delete) in the Edit Patch screen
- Instrument Synthesizer functionality (on Instrument Parameters/Effects screen) renamed to Instrument MIDI Mapping to differentiate from actual Synth instruments
FIXES
- The instrument header label “Synth (Off)” didn’t update correctly when changing synth Polyphony (between 0 and other values)
- Sometimes the section name (above screen buttons 5-7) in the synth Edit Patch screen was cut too short
- Reverb/Delay send values displayed wrong initial values after opening the Synth Parameters screen
- Parameter list was missing up and down arrows (screen buttons) on the synth Edit Patch screen
- Improved editing of parameters which have a big range of values in the synth Edit Patch screen (for example Filter Cutoff) using the encoder
- Edit Patch screen showed the wrong notes for PERC synth drums (one octave lower, for example, C4 instead of C5 for triggering the kick drum)
- When synth patch changes were the only changes in a project, they were not (auto)saved
- The text description in the Config menu > General > “Line in channel” was wrong.
INSTALLATION GUIDE
- Download and extract the Tracker+ Firmware 1.0.1 file containing firmware 1.0.1 and PERC presets
- Copy the extracted .ptf firmware file to your Tracker SD card > Firmware folder
- Copy the extracted PERC folder to your Tracker SD card > Patches folder
- Optional: before updating save your current project to avoid any potential data loss
- In Tracker navigate to Config > Firmware > Update Firmware > .ptf file
- Press Select and confirm with Yes
- After the update, navigate to File > create New Project to correctly initialize Config settings
