Self-playing drum generator with an art-rock/IDM feel: off-kilter grooves, punchy kicks, snappy snares, airy hats. No input needed. It generates beats on its own. Alt Drums contains 16-step patterns across 14 songs, each with its own feel and timbre offsets (pitch, sweep, tone, brightness, envelope). Accented steps add punch and variation. A tempo-synced short delay adds space without washing out the beat.
Knob Controls:
- Tempo – (BPM, 60–180): Sets groove speed.
- Sound – Brightness/drive/character. On PM kits, it shifts resonator tone/damping, too.
- Decay – Envelope length for kick/snare/hats, from ultra‑snappy to longer tails.
Footswitch controls:
- Short press: Cycles Songs 0–13 (songs 6 and 8 are the PM kits).
- Long press: Cycles Engines 0–8 (has no effect when Song is 6 or 8, since PM is forced).
