Synth firmware 1.2 focuses on interface improvements and disabling effects when they aren’t active to free up additional CPU.
NEW FEATURES
- Effects (Rev, Mod, Del) are not activated when not used in a scene
- Dim Mode added to the system settings.
- Interface improvements to help avoid clipping and distortion
- Master Volume now shows dB values instead of a line
- Mixer Level meter turns red when clipping
- Maximum mixer sends set to 0dB instead of +12 (Old projects will still load with the value saved at +dB settings)
- Added screen indicators to help troubleshoot when a Synth isn’t playing a sound
- Added an all note off option to stop hanging notes

FIXES
- GRAIN Burst Ratio parameter values were playing at double the specified tempo
- An incorrect engine could load on when mapping PC change options if patches shared the same name
- Freeze when using Layout and Mode knobs on Grid page simultaneously
- Clicking when using crossfaders for Mod > Rev or Mod > Del could sometimes occur
- Aftertouch did not work if a pad was hit extremely hard
- Preventing hanging of held notes when Local Mode is changed to off
- PC change could corrupt the loaded patch and browsers
- The patch preview was removed from PC mapping to prevent this issue
- Freeze after loading a scene with PC Mappings multiple times
- Quickly scrolling the program change mapping list sometimes switched the active patch
- Switching pages would occasionally result in an empty parameter page
- Main Menu navigation sometimes cut off
- Held Notes were not highlighted after switching instruments on seq
INSTALLATION GUIDE
- Download and extract the firmware above
- Copy the .psf firmware file to your Synth SD card → Firmware folder
- Best Practice: save your current scene to avoid any potential data loss
- On the Synth menu, navigate to Main Menu → System Settings → Firmware → Update Firmware → .psf file
- Click the encoder and confirm with Yes
After the update, create a new scene to initialize the config settings.
Synth 1.1 firmware includes new Arp and Seq rates for triplets and dotted time divisions, as well as Chord Pack editor improvements.

FIXES
- Synced Delay caused audio glitching with an external MIDI clock.
- Seq was not playing correctly when switching back to Note from Chord Pack.
- Synth parameter bars and visualization were altered by Macro modifications.
- The parameter bars now change to grey when modified by a macro
- Adding notes to an Arp in playback mode did not work when using multiple arpeggiators simultaneously
- Macro Control and values sometimes didn’t disappear from the screen header
- Switching from the Effect Presets page to the Effect page sometimes changed the currently selected effect
- Root Note was not autosaving after being changed via the screen button and encoder –
- Grid Mode could incorrectly display as Follower after switching Layouts –
- Freeze on MIDI Program Change message when Seq / Arp was playing more than one synth voice
- Mixer Level faders produced audio clicks when adjusting values
- Possible data corruption after double tapping Shift to release all pads
- Seq sometimes did not play polyphonic sequences correctly when triggered by Chords with active Followers

This hotfix release includes several critical fixes, as well as improvements and optimizations to enhance usability and stability. It also adds a Beta Chord pack editor. This is a recommended update for all Synth users, with a single beta feature.
FIXES
- Optimized memory usage for general stability, resolving issues like audio crackling on certain devices when using Delay, as well as memory corruption when loading scenes or samples, etc.s
- Audible clicks and glitches when playing pads that use chord Modes in Grid settings
- LFO in PMD synth stopped working after setting it to One Shot mode
- Prevent exiting the Scene, Preset, or Main Menu when interacting with synth parameter edit knobs [It fixes the inability to enter the menu occasionally]
- Reduce amount of Velocity macro mapping to Volume in all synth Init patches
- Display only parameter values (rather than names) on synth Mod pages
- Display chords in red as selected only when a Follower is active
HIDDEN BETA FEATURE
Beta Chord Pack Editor. To enter the editor:
1. Hold Shift + ADSR + LFO while entering Grid Menu.
2.Set mode to “Ch Pack”,
3. Select a Chord from the Grid.
4. Press Shift + ADSR to edit the selected Chord.
