Euclid St
Drum Machine
A generative rhythm instrument that sits between percussion, melody, and texture. Euclid St. is a self-running, three-voice instrument that generates interlocking patterns across modeled resonators. No input needed. Just set the tempo and let it play. Voices strike wood, metal, string, and mallet-like bodies, creating evolving grooves from tight ticks to long, singing tones.
Kits shape the character of the instrument, from natural wooden resonance to plucky string synthesis and bright mallet textures. Each kit also has three interval variations that shift the harmonic feel without breaking the groove.
Knob Controls:
- Tempo (BPM) – 40–240; drives the clock and a subtle pulse in amplitude so sweeps are felt.
- Shape (%) – blends timbre and decay. 0% = warm/long; 100% = bright/short.Â
- Tune −36..+36 semitones, chromatically quantized; huge span from subby knocks to high pings.
Footswitch Controls:
- Short press – Cycle kits. 1: Core modal – woody, natural resonance 2: Modal variant – inverted brightness, same decay 3: Karplus–Strong strings – plucky, long sustain 4: KS variant – alternate timbre, same extended tail 5: Marimba/pipe – clear, harmonic, mallet-like 6: Marimba/pipe bright – airy, sharper overtones 7: Marimba/pipe warm – stronger fundamental 8: Modal/metal hybrid – sharper attack, controlled ring
