Scene: Das Mörtal – RAVE01

“What I had forgotten was how fun experimenting with the tracker format was. To me, it feels like an instrument rather than a workstation, I didn’t wanna waste time trying to reproduce the workflow I would normally do on a DAW. So I just started grabbing samples here and there and eventually the instrument gently nudged me into slicing breaks.

I then suddenly found myself making the jungle and UK breakbeat hardcore music that I used to listen to in the era I got my first computer with a tracker but that I never produced back then.

RAVE01 with its cheesy 90’s rave stabs, diva vocals, and breaks is something I might have never made if it wasn’t for the Polyend Tracker and its old-school vibe just brings a big smile on my face.”

Began his career in Berlin, inspired by artists such as Steve Moore and Aphex Twin. The producer creates an obscure and nostalgic sound, mixing influences from German techno to horror and science fiction film soundtracks.
