Scene: Unifono – Satire

“Now I finally got one – and here I want to share the first project I created with it. The Tracker nicely hits a sweet spot of flexibility vs. ease in use. Being able to see every step over multiple tracks at once, makes working on pattern details very enjoyable. The Song mode also is very straightforward and highly welcome, since this feature is often missing in other all-in-one production hardware. It easily lets me finish whole tracks on the hardware itself. The project itself is quite simple.

The whole track is composed of factory one-shot samples. For the main melody lines, I used wavetables in wavetable mode.  I didn’t use a whole lot of fx commands, most notably are the slide fx on the bassline and recurring roll effects on the snare. The main melodies were created with the tracker’s unique Fill mode, locked to a scale, with low randomization, while variations on the melody were achieved by making use of the invert feature.”
