Sudoku: I like to experiment with music, it perfectly matches me
Polyend: What is the most crucial device used throughout your career? Which is used presently?
Sudoku: I started producing music on an Amiga computer in the mid 90’s – Protracker with four channels was the first music gear ever. Then with the first PC goes another tracker-based DAW. So, tracker production workflow is natural for me. Now I decided to work only with standalone gear – mainly the Polyend Tracker and Akai MPC.
Polyend: Can you reveal one sound design or music production secret to us?
Sudoku: I like it when the overall sound of the track I made is “dirty,” – so I often use distortion and manipulate the sample’s quality parameters. I also like to generate some hiss (from vinyl or other sounds) in the background to make the track more “soulful.”
Polyend: Why do you choose Polyend devices?
Sudoku: I think what I like the most is the simplicity of using Polyend Tracker, but on the other hand, it is a more powerful and much more complex device with many ways to create and rearrange sound and music overall. And because I like to experiment with music, it perfectly matches me.
